Fyndo is a lost-and-found platform operated from Pune, India. We help people report, find, and safely return lost items. Our contact email is hello.fyndo@gmail.com.
2. What Data We Collect
When you join our waitlist or register your interest, we collect:
- Your email address (required)
- Your city (optional)
- Your user type — individual or venue (optional)
We do not collect your name, phone number, Aadhaar, financial information, or any government-issued ID at this stage.
3. Why We Collect It
- To notify you when Fyndo launches in your city
- To prioritise which cities we expand to first
- To send you relevant updates based on whether you are an individual user or a venue
We will never send you spam. Every email we send will have an unsubscribe link.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used only for the purposes stated above. We do not sell, share, or trade your personal information with any third party. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely. We use industry-standard practices to protect it from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse.
5a. Item & Claimant Data Handling
- Item listing data (description, venue name, date received) is publicly visible on the Fyndo platform to help owners locate their belongings.
- Claimant personal details (name, phone, ID type) are only shared with the relevant partner venue and Fyndo team — never publicly displayed.
- Government ID details collected for ownership verification are deleted after a successful claim is completed.
- Unclaimed item listings are removed from the platform after 90 days.
6. How Long We Keep It
We retain your data until you request deletion or unsubscribe from all communications. You can email hello.fyndo@gmail.com at any time to request removal.
7. Your Rights Under Indian Law (DPDPA 2023)
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal data
- Request erasure of your personal data
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Nominate someone to exercise your rights on your behalf
- File a grievance with our Grievance Officer

8. Cookies
We use minimal, essential cookies for basic site functionality and anonymous analytics (e.g., page views). We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Children's Privacy
Fyndo is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify waitlist members by email of any significant changes. The latest version will always be available at fyndoapp.com/privacy.

Terms of Use
1. Acceptance
By using Fyndo's website or app, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Fyndo.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Fyndo independently. Users between 13–17 may use Fyndo only with verifiable parental or guardian consent.
3. What Fyndo Is
Fyndo is a platform that connects people who have lost items with people who have found them. Fyndo acts as a facilitator only — we are not responsible for the physical handover of items or for verifying the identity of users beyond the in-app verification process.
4. User Conduct
By using Fyndo, you agree to:
- Only post genuine lost or found items
- Not make false claims of ownership
- Not use Fyndo to deceive, defraud, or harass any other user
- Not post any illegal, offensive, or misleading content
- Meet in safe, public locations for all item handovers
Violation of these rules may result in permanent removal from the platform.
5. No Guarantee
Fyndo does not guarantee that any lost item will be found or returned. We are a platform — outcomes depend on the actions of community members.
6. Limitation of Liability
Fyndo is not liable for any loss, damage, or harm arising from use of the platform, including but not limited to items not being returned, disputes between users, or incidents during meetups. We strongly encourage following our Safety Guidelines at all times.
7. Intellectual Property
All content on fyndoapp.com including the Fyndo logo, name, and design is owned by Fyndo. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our branding without written permission.
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of Fyndo after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Pune, Maharashtra.
10. Partner Venue Obligations
- Drop-off point partners must accurately log and describe items received — false or misleading entries may result in removal from the Fyndo partner network.
- Claimants must present a valid government-issued ID matching the details submitted during the claim process.
- Fyndo is not liable for items damaged, lost, or stolen while stored at a partner venue.
- Unclaimed items after 90 days may be donated or disposed of at the venue's discretion, in accordance with applicable local laws.
